by Kaiti Lenhart, Flagler County Supervisor of Elections

Our election night results were fully reported at 7:38 PM, which might be a new record for Flagler County!

Two races on the ballot are within the margin of one-half of one percent. If the unofficial returns reflect that a candidate for any office was defeated or eliminated by one-half of a percent or less of the votes cast for such office, a recount shall be ordered of the votes cast with respect to such office or measure. [Reference: Section 102.141(7)]

We will know which races will require a recount after provisional ballots and referred mail ballots (due to signature mismatch) are counted during the Canvassing Board meeting on Friday, August 23 at 10:00 A.M.

These results illustrate how incredibly important EACH vote is during a Primary Election! We had only 29.4% total turnout.
