Women United Flagler, an affinity group of Community Foundation & United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties (CF/UWVFC), in collaboration with WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) and Flagler OARS (Open Arms Recovery Services), is pleased to announce “Women United Flagler Presents,” a no-cost, bi-monthly educational series focusing on wellness, family, health, and well-being, encompassing mind, body, and spirit. This initiative is designed to educate and empower the community, focusing on the health and well-being of women.

The inaugural workshop, titled “Save a Life You Can with Narcan: Opioid Recognition and Response,” will be held on Thursday, February 8, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at WARM located at 301 Justice Lane, Bunnell. This session will be presented by Flagler OARS and is designed to equip participants with life-saving knowledge and skills in the face of the growing opioid crisis. The dates for the next two Women United Flagler Presents are April 11 and June 13.

The event promises to be a transformative experience with light refreshments provided by the chef and women of WARM. Along with Women United Flagler and CF/UWVFC, the event is made possible by SMA and Flagler OARS. Space is limited, and interested participants are asked to register at https://bit.ly/WUFPresents to secure a spot.

“We believe in the power of community learning and the significant impact it can have on personal and communal well-being,” said Linda Sanders, Women United Flagler Community Engagement Chair. “Through these workshops, we are striving to address key issues affecting women today, fostering a more informed, healthy, and resilient community.”

The event is free and attendees are welcome to bring a baby item for the babies that live with their mothers at WARM if they are able such as diapers, wipes, and most other baby necessities.
