UPDATE: 9/26/24 AT 9:21 PM- As Hurricane Helene begins to move closer to Florida’s shores, updated data from Flagler County Emergency Management has led Flagler Schools to make a change to its most recent decision regarding schools tomorrow.
Given the shift in forecast conditions as of our 8 p.m. update from Flagler County Emergency Management, we will now be closing all schools across the district for Friday, September 27. Any extracurricular activities or athletic events taking place after school hours and into the weekend will take place as scheduled.
(Flagler County, Fla.) – Flagler Schools is announcing that all district schools will re-open tomorrow, Friday, September 27, following closures today due to forecasted weather conditions related to Hurricane Helene. After working closely with Flagler County Emergency Management and monitoring the latest data, Flagler Schools will have faculty and staff back on campus to welcome students back to school tomorrow morning for their regularly-scheduled school day. All school-related activities are set to take place as scheduled.
