(Flagler County, Fla.) – In coordination with Flagler County Emergency Management, Flagler
Schools is actively monitoring the progress of Hurricane Helene, which is expected to make landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region tomorrow. As a precautionary measure, all classes and school-related activities scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2024, are canceled.
Although Flagler County is not projected to experience the full impact of the storm, forecasts indicate a potential for higher-than-normal winds and localized flooding. The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and families remain our top priority, and this decision has been made out of an abundance of caution.
Flagler Schools will communicate further information through internal channels, social media platforms and local media outlets. We urge all families to stay informed and follow any advisories issued by Flagler County Emergency Management and local authorities.
