FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The Flagler County Education Foundation (FCEF) is highlighting a productive and inspiring April, marked by student recognition, community partnerships, and programs designed to expand opportunity across the district.

Driven by its mission, the organization shared, “We are dedicated to elevating every student in Flagler County by uniting community, resources, and opportunity through innovative programs, mentorship, and unwavering support for educators and families. We remove barriers, ignite potential, and ensure every student has the resources and opportunities to succeed.”

Among the month’s highlights was the ongoing Beaver Toyota “Student of the Week” program, which recognized standout students for leadership and achievement, while broadcasting their stories across local radio stations. FCEF also continues to build career pathways through initiatives like Future Friday, inviting professionals to connect with students and inspire future careers.

April brought strong community engagement as well, including a literacy-focused evening filled with “book giveaways and interactive games,” and the successful Josh Crews Book Launch, where student writers became published authors.

“Seeing their hard work, creativity, and voices captured in print was a moment we won’t soon forget,” the foundation shared.

Fundraising and community support remained central, with the 5th Annual Joe Rizzo Memorial Golf Classic drawing widespread participation.

“It took an army of dedicated hearts,” organizers noted, thanking sponsors and volunteers whose efforts made the event a record-breaking success.

Students also made strides in innovation and career exploration. Flagler Palm Coast High School participants presented solutions at the UNF MedNexus Innovation Challenge, tackling issues of mental and emotional well-being, while partnerships with AdventHealth Palm Coast opened doors for job shadowing opportunities.

Looking ahead, FCEF is preparing for its S.T.U.F.F. Bus summer supply drive, Senior Scholarship Surprise Nights, and the 2026 Golden Eagle Dinner honoring Pete and Sue Freytag.

Throughout April, the foundation emphasized gratitude for its partners, educators, and volunteers.

“Your support allows us to create meaningful experiences for students and families across our community. We couldn’t do it without you!”
