January 7, 2022 – The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners have selected committee assignments for the new year, and are ready to get to work.
Committee assignments to these important boards provide Flagler County commissioners with community input, expertise, and diverse viewpoints that help the Board of County Commissioners make informed decisions.
Flagler County Commission Chair Joe Mullins will serve on the following committees: Department of Juvenile Justice Council; Department of Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Council; Flagler County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee; Northeast Florida Regional Council; River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization; and, as an alternate on the Workforce Development Board of Flagler and Volusia County.
“I am very excited about these committee assignments,” Mullins said. “I am ready to get to work for the residents of Flagler County.”
Vice Chair Greg Hansen will serve on the following committees: Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byways Group; A1A Scenic Pride; Management Advisory Group for GTMNERR; Small County Coalition; Town of Marineland CRA Board; Value Adjustment Board; Florida Agricultural Museum Board; and, as an alternate to the Flagler County Tourist Development Council.
“I’m very excited about having representation on the Florida Ag Museum Board,” Hansen said. “That’s new, and it is something that I was pushing for, and all five of us commissioners agreed it was needed.”
Commissioner Donald O’Brien will serve on the following committees: Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia County; Flagler County Library Board of Trustees; Public Safety Coordinating Council; Workforce Development Board of Flagler and Volusia County; and as an alternate on the Flagler County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, and the Small County Coalition.
Commissioner David Sullivan will serve on four committees: Canvassing Board; Flagler County Tourist Development Council; Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board; and the Heritage Crossroads Committee. He also serves as an alternate on four committees: Northeast Florida Regional Council; River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization; School Planning Oversight Committee; and the Value Adjustment Board.
Commissioner Andy Dance selected three committee assignments for 2022, as well as five committees where he will serve as alternate.
Dance will serve on the following committees: Family Life Center; George Washington Carver Center Governance Board; and, the School Planning Oversight Committee. He will serve as an alternate on the following committees: Canvassing Board; Department of Juvenile Justice Council; Department of Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Council; Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia County; and, the Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board.
