May 19, 2026, Palm Coast, FL – Flagler Humane Society has received 34 dogs, three pigs, and one snake following a recent neglect case in Palm Coast. These animals were surrendered to the organization’s care with assistance from Palm Coast Animal Control and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional animals removed from the property have been placed in foster homes coordinated by Palm Coast Animal Control.

Upon arrival at Flagler Humane Society, the animals received comprehensive medical care, proper nutrition, and daily support from the shelter’s veterinary and animal care teams. Following rehabilitation and monitoring, many of these animals are now healthy and stable, ready to be adopted into loving homes.

“We are proud of our team’s efforts to bring these animals from crisis to stability,” said Amy Carotenuto, Executive Director of Flagler Humane Society. “They have received essential medical care, nutrition, and daily attention. Many are now ready for the next chapter: finding loving, permanent homes.”

Despite their difficult past, the animals have proven to be remarkably adaptable as they adjust to new routines and a safe environment.

Flagler Humane Society encourages community members to visit the shelter and consider adoption. By opening their homes, adopters can play a direct role in giving these animals a second chance.

“This is an opportunity for our community to transform a heartbreaking situation into one of hope,” Amy Carotenuto added. “These animals are ready to move forward, and we are eager to help them find the families they deserve.”
