Palm Coast Little League, is committed to teaching the fundamentals of baseball and softball while fostering teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship in every player. Volunteer support is needed to provide more positive outcomes for each child in the community willing to participate. With more volunteers, we can improve where we spend our money to support the Flagler families in a better way.
Date/Times: Role dependent with Regular Weekly Shifts.. Almost as much or as little time as desired. There are numerous roles to fill.
Perfect for volunteers looking for high-impact, short-term assignments during major community gatherings.
Opening Day Coordinator: Directs the logistics for the spring kickoff ceremony. Aligns vendor spaces, coordinates the team banner parade, and introduces guest speakers. Time Commitment: 3 hours per week during the month leading up; 8 hours on Opening Day.
Team Photo Liaison: Coordinates directly with the studio photographer on league picture day. Keeps teams moving smoothly through their slots and ensures coaches have extra player order forms. Time Commitment: 4 to 6 hours total on the designated photo day.
Event Set-up / Assembly Crew: Assembles pop-up promotional tents, places safety cones, hangs corporate sponsor banners on fences, and arranges folding chairs for presentations. Time Commitment: A single 3-to-4-hour block early on the morning of a major event.
Merchandise & Fan Gear Seller: Manages the custom merchandise table during major events. Pulls inventory, displays clothing items, and sells hats, custom pins, and league souvenirs. Time Commitment: 2 to 3 hours per event shift.
2. Concessions Operations
Great for social individuals who prefer working in a centralized, high-energy environment with clear, predictable shifts.
Concession Inventory Assistant: Drives to local wholesale stores (such as Sam’s Club or Costco) to purchase bulk soda, snacks, hot dogs, condiments, and paper products. Time Commitment: 2 to 3 hours per week (completed entirely during weekday daytime hours).
Prep Cook / Grill Specialist: Operates the hot grill or kitchen prep station inside the primary concession pavilion. Preps hot dogs, burgers, and nachos during heavy game windows. Time Commitment: 2 to 4 hours per game shift.
Counter Server: Serves as the friendly face of the concession stand. Takes customer orders, hands out pre-packaged snacks/drinks, and processes cash or digital payments. Time Commitment: 2 to 3 hours per shift.
3. Administrative, Finance & Communications
Ideal for individuals seeking lower physical strain or desk-based roles that can often be completed entirely from a home computer.
League Secretary: Attends monthly board meetings to record official minutes, manages correspondence, and maintains organized documentation for the league. Time Commitment: 4 to 6 hours per month.
Sponsorship Solicitor: Leads outreach to small and corporate businesses across Flagler County to secure outfield banner sponsorships and team financial backer donations. Time Commitment: 2 hours weekly during the registration season (can be done entirely via phone/email from home).
Head Scorekeeper / Trainer: Hosts a simple pre-season clinic to teach rookie parents how to use modern digital scorekeeping apps (like GameChanger) or standard paper books. Time Commitment: 5 hours total during the pre-season window.
Information Agent / Webmaster: Keeps the digital community up to date. Posts game schedules, instantly shares weather/rainout alerts, and uploads event photos. Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours per week (fully remote).
4. Team-Level & Game-Day Support
For volunteers who want to be close to the action and support the same group of families throughout the entire season.
Equipment Manager: Audits existing gear bags, tracks inventory, and helps distribute player safety packages (helmets, catcher’s gear, bats) before the first pitch. Time Commitment: 10 hours total pre-season; 1 hour per week mid-season for replacements.
Uniform Coordinator: Aggregates player sizing sheets, submits bulk team apparel orders to the local printer, and organizes jerseys and caps into team boxes for delivery. Time Commitment: 15 hours total, heavily concentrated in the 3 weeks prior to Opening Day.
Trophy & Awards Coordinator: Reviews, orders, and organizes end-of-season participation medals or division championship trophies for the closing ceremonies. Time Commitment: 5 hours total, restricted entirely to the final month of the season.
Team Parent Coordinator: Serves as a central contact on the board to hand out generic snack schedules, team guidelines, and league news to individual team parents. Time Commitment: 1 hour weekly, mostly via text or phone.
Team Parent (Dugout Coordinator): Acts as the primary point of contact for an individual team’s families. Drafts the post-game snack schedule and organizes the end-of-year pizza party. Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours per week (flexible from home via text or email).
Dugout Safety Monitor (Bench Parent): Sits directly in the dugout during games to make sure young players stay seated, stay hydrated, wear their helmets, and follow the batting order. Time Commitment: 1.5 to 2 hours per game (zero outside commitment).
Pitch Count Clerk / Recorder: Sits in the stands or next to the dugout to track pitching counts on a handheld tally clicker to ensure strict youth arm-safety compliance. Time Commitment: 2 hours per game.
League Safety Officer: Reviews and updates the league’s basic emergency safety layout, tracks first-aid kit refills, and logs paperwork if minor injuries occur. Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours per week.
League Historian / Photographer: Walks the fields during active game hours to snap high-quality photos or videos for inclusion in the end-of-season digital slideshow. Time Commitment: Highly flexible; 2 to 3 hours per week at the fields.
Umpire Coordinator: Coordinates weekly scheduling grids for volunteer umpires, managing cancellations and filling vacant field shifts over the phone. Time Commitment: 1 hour per week (done entirely over the phone or online).

Community Service hours for school and/or college are accepted.
