FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Early voting is over, and Flagler County voters who have not yet cast a ballot have one final opportunity to make their voices heard in the 2026 Primary Election.

Primary Election Day is TODAY – Tuesday, Aug. 18, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For voters heading to the polls today, there is one particularly important message: You must vote at your assigned Election Day precinct.

Not the early voting sites. – Find Your Precinct

Flagler County has 21 precinct voting locations. Voters accustomed to using an early voting location should not assume that is where they will vote Tuesday. Early voting sites allow voters to cast ballots at any designated location during the early voting period, but different rules apply on Election Day.

Florida law requires voters to vote in the precinct where they live. A voter who refuses to go to their assigned precinct on Election Day will be issued a provisional ballot.

Voters who are uncertain about their polling location are encouraged to use the Flagler County Supervisor of Elections’ Precinct Finder before leaving home.

Still Have a Vote-by-Mail Ballot?

Voters who still have a mail ballot should not put it in the mail and cannot return it to an Election Day polling place.

Instead, completed vote-by-mail ballots must be delivered directly to the Flagler County Elections Office and received no later than 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Why TODAY’S Primary Matters

While primary elections traditionally see lower voter turnout, today’s ballot includes contests in which all registered voters may participate.

Regardless of political party affiliation, voters are eligible to cast ballots in nonpartisan contests. Several local nonpartisan races will be decided in the Primary Election, including races for School Board, city offices and judicial offices.

That means voters who are not affiliated with a political party can still have a say in races that directly affect their communities.

With early voting sites closed, voters who have not yet participated should check their precinct before heading out today.

Know before you go: Find your assigned precinct, make a plan and vote between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
