DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 7, 2026) – The 84th running of the DAYTONA 200 saw Josh Herrin win his fourth consecutive title. The victory did not come without any setbacks, though, as the now five-time DAYTONA 200 champion overcame two separate pit-lane setbacks. With the win, Herrin is now tied with Scott Russell and Miguel Duhamel for the most DAYTONA 200 victories of all time.

Nevertheless, the 35-year-old rode his No. 2 Rahal Ducati Moto to a substantial victory, leading the field to the checkered flag by over 38 seconds. It marked Herrin’s first win with his new team, Rahal Ducati Moto. Tyler Scott in the No. 70 M4 ECSTAR Suzuki followed behind while Herrin’s teammate, Kayla Yaakov, rounded out the podium with her No. 19 Rahal Ducati Moto.

Yaakov became the first woman to ever finish on the podium in the DAYTONA 200. At only 18-years-old, the Pennsylvania native made a last lap pass on No. 53 Darryn Binder to finish in third place by less than two-tenths of a second.

Eli Tomac secured his eighth 450SX victory at the famed Daytona International Speedway, continuing his path to success as the only rider with multiple wins in the 2026 season. Despite his slow start to the race, Tomac worked his way up to third on Lap 2. On Lap 14, he gained over four seconds over Hunter Lawrence and used the final laps to pace himself and secure his eighth win at DAYTONA.

Seth Hammaker claimed his first 250SX victory since winning in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in April 2025. Coming off a crash in qualifying, Hammaker regrouped and fought for the victory at Daytona International Speedway, finishing with a lead of 4.2 seconds on Cole Davies.

With the action shifting from Ricky Carmichael’s iconic dirt track to the historic 3.51-mile road course for Mission King of the Baggers, Hayden Gillim came out on top with an eight second lead aboard his Indian Challenger on Friday. This marked Gillim’s first win at the World Center of Racing, ending Kyle Wyman’s five-race win streak at DAYTONA.

On Saturday, Troy Herfoss claimed the checkered flag for the second race of the weekend for Mission King of Baggers. On the No. 17 Indian, Herfoss edged out Rocco Landers by .262 seconds as Kyle Wyman rounded out the top three.

The American Flat Track organization returned to Daytona International Speedway to kick off their 2026 season on Thursday and Friday. With the World Center of Racing looming large over the DAYTONA Flat Track, Kody Kopp further cemented himself in racing record books.

Kopp enjoyed a few very successful days at Daytona International Speedway, starting with history on Thursday night. He became the first rider to win the Mission AFT SuperTwins event in their first ever attempt. It was a contentious race that required Kopp to stave off the reigning class champion Dallas Daniels.

Under the Friday night lights, the Mission AFT SuperTwins Mission Triple Challenge Races saw hard-fought battles for first place. After Davis Fisher won the front leg, Kopp doubled down in victory lane, adding to his title of the winningest rider in AFT Singles history. Kody Kopp, Dallas Daniels and Davis Fisher landed in the top five for each of DAYTONA’s four main flat track events.

Several familiar faces found themselves visiting victory lane throughout the weekend. On the dirt, Eli Tomac and Kody Kopp continued their dominance at the World Center of Racing while Josh Herrin kept his streak going, winning his fourth consecutive DAYTONA 200 title.
