May 7, 2024 – Housing officials from throughout Flagler County are hosting two separate events on consecutive days – Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 – to address different needs of the community.

“These are both very important events, though each has its own focus,” said Flagler County Housing Program Manager Devrie Paradowski. “We are looking forward to two spectacular events: the Forum with a wonderful complement of professionals on the panel; and the Fair that brings many resources together for our residents.”

The first, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on May 17, is called “From Blueprint to Action: Local Strategies for Housing Policy Advancement,” a luncheon-style forum for those interested in policy – especially where affordability is concerned. Participants will be able to ask questions of the panelists and provide their input on the topic.

Panelists will include the following: Scott Culp, principal of the Atlantic Housing Partners (for-profit affordable housing developer); Bill Lazar, executive director of the St. Johns Housing Partnership (non-profit affordable housing developer); Ali Ankudowich, AICP, Technical Advisor with the Florida Housing Coalition; Annamaria Long, executive officer of the Flagler Home Builders Association; Maeven Rogers, chief sustainability and resiliency officer for the City of Palm Coast; and, Jay Gardner, Flagler County Property Appraiser.

Tickets to attend this luncheon forum are available through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/housing-policy-forum-tickets-837483695277?aff=oddtdtcreator.

The second, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 18, is a Housing Fair and Financial Wellness Clinic intended for residents with a desire to be homeowners who may be looking for information about mortgage products or downpayment assistance, or for current local homeowners interested in owner-occupied rehabilitation or foreclosure avoidance information.

Both events are being held at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Palm Coast.

The Housing Fair is a collaboration between Flagler County, the City of Palm Coast, and the Mid-Florida Housing Partnership. The “From Blueprint to Action” Housing Forum is presented in collaboration with the Atlantic Housing Partners, St. Johns Housing Partnership, Florida Housing Coalition, Flagler Home Builders Association, City of Palm Coast, Flagler County Property Appraiser, and Flagler County Government.
