The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at 2 PM (Matinee), 7:30 PM (Evening)

Presented by Flagler Playhouse at Matanzas High School Pirate Theatre

Miss Brodie is a teacher, a formidable figure who molds young minds to her form. And what’s more, she is so intensely interesting that the girls admire her above all else. But Miss Brodie is not honest. She prevaricates and then tells the girls to do as she tells them, not as she does herself. She is having an affair with the music teacher and has had one with the art teacher, and this is not the most exemplary conduct. A fantastic letter which some of her students write in her name to her lover falls into the headmistress’ hands. Dismissal is averted by Miss Brodie’s indomitable pluck as she threatens to sue for libel. One girl grows too wise too soon and turns on Miss Brodie. Tickets

‘Vinegar Tom’ at City Repertory Theatre at 7:30 PM

Did you know that witch trials were conducted in England from the 15th century until the 18th century? They are estimated to have resulted in the death of perhaps 500 people, 90 percent of whom were women. Caryl Churchill’s powerful drama, “Vinegar Tom” uses both the historical setting and contemporary music to explore society’s fear of female empowerment in the 17th century and today. Sunday is sold out, but tickets are still available for Saturday night’s (3/23) performances. Tickets at crtpalmcoast.com or by calling the box office at 386/585-9415.

The Doo Wop Project at The Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM

The Doo Wop Project begins at the beginning: tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of five guys singing harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today. In their epic shows, The Doo Wop Project takes audiences on a journey featuring foundational tunes from the Crests, Belmonts, and Flamingos through the vocal artistry of Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons to DooWopified versions of modern hits from Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, and Sam Smith. Featuring stars from the Broadway hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical, and A Bronx Tale, The Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate—and in some cases entirely reimagine—the greatest music in American pop and rock history.
