Palm Coast, FL – On March 19, 2024, the Palm Coast City Council voted to terminate the City Manager, Denise Bevan, without cause. The termination is effective immediately.
Assistant City Manager Lauren Johnston was appointed as Acting City Manager during this interim period.
Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin made the motion as follows:
- Terminate the City Manager, without cause
- Use the Florida League of Cities and other sources to employ an interim manager with proven experience, and afterwards –
- Commence the process to find a highly qualified person to manage this City consistent with our community’s goals, vision, and values.
