Flagler County, Fla. (November 21, 2022) – Set to be a holiday show to remember, City Repertory Theatre is staging a one-weekend-only production to benefit the Flagler County Cultural Council.
Featuring big names from across the region, the avant-garde theatre in Palm Coast is dedicating the proceeds from the December shows to help support the newly designated Local Arts Agency.
“CRT was looking for an organization that specialized in improving the arts in Flagler County. When we discovered the newly formed 501(c)3 that was designated by the county to objectively disperse all arts funds coming from state and national sources to county arts organizations, we knew we should help the Flagler County Cultural Council. So on December 1 through December
4, we are creating an evening of story and song to assist FC3 in its task,” said John Sbordone, cofounder of the City Repertory Theatre.
Among the performers will be northeast Florida music director Benjamin Beck, Central Florida vocalists Julia Truilo, Beau Wade, Laniece Fagundes, Phillipa Rose, Agata Sokolska-Li, and Alexander Louchs, in addition to novelist Susan Slater, alongside a host of supporting performers.
“Collaborating with our colleagues in the arts and culture community only strengthens all of us both individually and as a consortium of like-minded organizations working to support one another. We are thrilled that the City Repertory Theatre (CRT) has chosen the Flagler County Cultural Council for this benefit performance to help fundraising efforts for this newly formed Local Arts Agency (LAA). The LAA will work towards building upon the arts and culture environment in Flagler County to enhance and support initiatives brought forward in the County’s strategic plan,” said Flagler County Cultural Council Co-Chair Nancy Crouch.
Tickets are $30 and include a complimentary beverage and light hors d’oeuvres.
