The Dept. of Health is looking for volunteers who are currently licensed to administer COVID tests.

They are also in need of retired volunteers or those with expired licenses to assist the test takers.

FALL CERT CLASS

SEPTEMBER 27th – OCTOBER 27th

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during CERT exercises, members can assist their community or workplace following an emergency event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

Class runs from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Train-the-Trainer 

 

Description The purpose of this Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Train-the-Trainer (T-T-T) course is to produce competent instructors for the CERT Basic Training course.This course prepares participants to deliver FEMA’s G317 CERT Basic Training course only. -A competent CERT instructor delivers the CERT Basic Training course accurately, conveying the concepts taught in the CERT Basic Training.

 

 

Target Audience Criteria: The target audience for this course includes those who will: • Serve as the course manager for the CERT Basic Training course • Be CERT Basic Training course instructors Those currently affiliated with a local CERT program will be prioritized.  Documentation may be requested.

 

Class will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 – Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily at the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center.  To register –  Click Here

 

 

 

Representatives from local organizations that are active during disasters are invites to attend an upcoming Flagler COAD meeting on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center in Training Room B.  At the meeting you will have an opportunity to introduce yourself and give a brief explanation of how your organization is actively engaged when a disaster occurs.  Please come prepared to share!
