Bunnell, FL – At some point you’ve looked at a friend or family member while watching hit shows like “Naked and Afraid” or “The Walking Dead” and asked the question – could you survive in the woods or even a Zombie apocalypse?
Helping to teach youngsters some of these key survival skills, Huckleberry Farms has themed their March curriculum based on surviving in the wild. Lessons include making clean water, building a shelter, fire safety, food sources and navigation.
Hosting the “Out School” opportunities since last fall, Huckleberry Farms co-owner Heather Beaven is helping alleviate the boredom students face indoors as a result of remote learning, while increasing awareness for Flagler’s rich agricultural history.
The Huckleberry Farms Out School takes place each Friday of the month from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The cost is $8.
