Flagler Beach saw the grand opening of Charboozie Before & After Bar on Thursday, as co-owners Karen Dion and Kris Harris celebrated the long-awaited ribbon cutting surrounded by friends, family, and well-wishers. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the pair officially marked the beginning of their new venture in the heart of Flagler Beach.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Harris, reflecting on the journey to get to this milestone. “We’re thrilled to finally be here. It feels like we’ve reached the end of one chapter, but really, it’s just the beginning.”
Dion echoed the sentiment, adding, “We couldn’t be more excited. We’ve worked so hard, and to have this day finally arrive feels incredible.”
The energy in the air was palpable, as Dion and Harris stood alongside their friends and supporters, many of whom have been with them from the start. “It’s amazing to see everyone here today. We’ve felt a lot of support over the last five or six months, but it’s really special to be surrounded by all these people today who’ve been part of the journey,” Harris shared. “We feel the love.”

We thought it was a great idea, but you never really know if others will share that excitement. It turns out they do, and that’s been such a rewarding feeling.”
Charboozie’s success is already evident in the growing crowd of supporters, with many visitors eager to see the new space and celebrate with the co-owners. With their grand opening behind them, Dion and Harris are ready to continue the next phase of their journey.
