Yes, after three years of a hiatus, the well-known best party in town just occurred with multiple events according to Maria Elizabeth Frazão Pereira, correspondent for the HENRIQUE MANO LUSO-AMERICANO newspaper.

First came the food, ah the food, simply delicious Portuguese soul food; then the fabulous show with the “Portuguese Cowboy” singer Zé Amaro coming expressly from Portugal for the show; then the politicians had a chance to speak; the presentation to 12 students of Portuguese descent who received $30,000 in scholarships from the Antonio Amaral Foundation; then the folklore group “Corações de Portugal” dressed up and danced traditional music and the food continued throughout the afternoon.
The 17th anniversary of the Antonio Amaral Foundation occurred on April 23, on one of the most beautiful weather days of 2023 so far, with over 800 people attending the event. To date the Foundation has provided 237 scholarships in the amount of $386,500 and $71,000 in aid to people in need. This year’s scholarship winners are:

Two $500 scholarships were awarded to two students from Flagler-Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School, totaling this year’s scholarship presentation at $30,000.
A special moment occurred when Palm Coast Mayor Alfin gave the singer Zé Amaro a memento “Key to the City of Palm Coast”, and Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly gave Zé Amaro a challenge coin from the Sheriff’s office.
