The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Flagler County Branch wishes to congratulate the five Flagler County seventh grade girls who have been selected to attend AAUW Tech Trek camp in June 2026.

Two of the students will attend the week-long Tech Trek camp at Florida Atlantic University in Jupiter. The other three will attend Stetson University in DeLand. All campers will live on campus and attend hands-on problem0solving workshops with women role models in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

AAUW’s curriculum is designed to make STEM fields exciting and accessible to middle school schools at a time when research indicates that girls’ participation in these fields statistically drops. The week long camp often sparks their curiosity and places them on a path toward success.

Sixty-three Flagler middle school girls have been selected to attend AAUW Florida Tech Trek since the program’s inception in 2013. The $1500 cost per camper is covered by the AAUW Flagler County Branch. A $50 registration fee is the only cost to the family. Individual and community donations to help support future Tech Trek scholarships are greatly appreciated.
