Flagler County, FL (December 9, 2021) Everyone knows the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing it loud for all to hear.  At least that’s what Buddy the Elf says, and the students from Flagler Palm Coast High School were more than happy to oblige on Thursday evening as they took to the stage at the Flagler Auditorium for their Christmas performance.

Accompanied by the notoriously good Flagler Palm Coast High School Band, it was a joyous occasion as the students, led by band director John Seth put their spin on a number of holiday favorites.

Performers even brought Flagler County’s defacto family of the season, The Griswolds, to the stage with a peppy remix of “Deck the Halls” and the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation theme song “Holiday Road”, and a classic version of Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby” among the evening’s favorites.

Heading in to hear her daughter perform in her very last holiday show on the Flagler Auditorium’s stage before graduation in the spring, Kelly O’Reilly was excited knowing Molly Maresca has worked tirelessly to hone her talents in the performing arts throughout her time in Flagler Schools.

“Molly is singing in the choir and soloing,” shared O’Reilly.

“She’s been practicing a lot at home, all the time. I’ve very proud of Molly. This is her calling, this is what she’s going to do for the rest of her life, and this is my last Christmas concert,” she said.

Flagler Auditorium director Amelia Fulmer was thrilled to welcome the students back for the holiday performance.

“The band and the chorus haven’t performed on stage together since 2019,” said Fulmer. “John Seth and Ester Jackson led these talented students in an amazing concert, keeping a holiday tradition alive on our stage!”
