Starry Nights in Flagler Beach Returns for 2021 Holiday Season

Enjoy Twinkling Light Displays, Skydiving Santa, and More

(FLAGLER BEACH, Fla.)—Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches and the Flagler Beach Business Bureau are excited to announce the return of Starry Nights in Flagler Beach, the area’s signature holiday lighting spectacular, for the 2021 holiday season. Throughout December and January, local homes, businesses, and landmarks, including the iconic Flagler Beach Fishing Pier and Veterans Park, are illuminated each evening with festive lighting.

New in 2021, the “Deck the Chairs” display features the area’s popular red lifeguard chairs, each decorated by a local business or community organization in the hopes of being crowned most festive. Two chairs will be decorated by resident representatives from the north and south sides of Flagler Beach in a friendly competition. Volunteer organization Flagler Strong will sponsor a chair in honor of Flagler Beach lifeguard Caleb Struble, who was injured during practice drills in July 2021. The remaining chairs will be sponsored by the following local restaurants: Turtle Shack Café, Oceanside Beach Bar and Grill, Funky Pelican, Beach Front Grille, and High Tides at Snack Jack.

The event kicks off with a lighting ceremony during the First Friday event on December 3, 2021. First Friday festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the pier lighting at 6 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live music, shopping, and dining at area restaurants and businesses. Free 3D glasses will be available at the pier bait shop.

The excitement continues on Saturday, December 4, 2021, with the annual Flagler Beach Holiday Parade. Hosted by the Flagler Beach Rotary, the event begins at 1 p.m. with Santa Claus skydiving, then parachuting onto the beach. The parade portion, which follows Santa’s grand entrance, starts on North 6th Street and travels southbound on A1A to South 6th Street.

Local residents are encouraged to participate by lighting up their homes by Friday, December 3, 2021.
