On another day
I might be lazy

But on this day
Before this life slays me

We’re here for this day
And my family so crazy
Thanksgiving day

The news of last year
The news of today
Not gonna sway me
I’m here for the gravy
If I have to keep things stable
I’ll take a seat at the kiddies table
I’m not here for real or imagined distortions
I’m here for greater portions
Great to see you today
For our sakes
Give thanks
That’s what it takes
Be here for the gravy
On another day
