BUNNELL, Fla. — Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies made 11 arrests this past weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, and 6 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026. Deputies handled 697 calls for service and made 100 traffic stops.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Palm Coast Man for DUI After Crash; Twice the Legal Limit

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Allan Wilson, 26, of Palm Coast, for driving under the influence following a traffic crash in which his vehicle overturned, and an investigation determined Wilson was impaired.

On May 2, at approximately 11:25 p.m., FCSO deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a traffic crash on Seminole Woods Blvd where a white 2017 GMC truck had overturned and came to rest on its side. Deputies arrived to find debris and tools scattered across the roadway, causing partial lane closures. The truck sustained heavy damage and multiple airbags deployed.

Deputies contacted two occupants: the driver, Wilson, and a passenger. Both parties denied injuries, and medical services were offered and refused.

During the initial response, deputies received information from the passenger and an independent witness confirming Wilson was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash. Wilson also spontaneously stated, “I’m drunk, I was driving.”

Deputies observed indicators of impairment, including the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Wilson’s breath, watery eyes, and unsteady balance. Standardized field sobriety exercises were administered. Wilson was unable to maintain balance during the walk-and-turn exercise, which was stopped for safety reasons. During the investigation, deputies observed an empty bottle of liquor inside the vehicle. Two firearms were also located inside the vehicle.

Wilson was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. Wilson provided two breath samples resulting in a 0.158 and 0.161 blood alcohol content. He was later released on $1,000 bond.

“Driving impaired is reckless, selfish, and it puts innocent people in danger,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “He’s lucky he didn’t kill himself or his sober passenger. Now his truck is totaled, he’s in jail and facing a serious DUI charge and his insurance will skyrocket!”

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Palm Coast Teen After Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of More Than 20 Grams of Marijuana Packaged for Sale

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Palm Coast drug dealer following a traffic stop that began as an equipment violation and ended with deputies locating more than 20 grams of marijuana packaged in multiple individual bags.

On May 2, at approximately 12:09 a.m., an FCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on a blue Volkswagen on Kanawha Court in Palm Coast after observing the vehicle did not have working tag lights.

The driver was identified as Predarren Barnes, 18, of Palm Coast.

During the stop, the deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Barnes told the deputy that his father smokes in the vehicle and that Barnes does not have a medical marijuana card.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies located six individual plastic bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, along with rolling papers. The bags were located inside a backpack hidden under the passenger seat and partially concealed by clothing. The combined weight was 26.09 grams and later tested positive for marijuana.

“Individually packaged marijuana doesn’t magically appear in a backpack for ‘personal use’ — it’s packaged that way to sell,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you’re transporting illegal substances in Flagler County, expect a quick traffic stop to turn into a trip to the Green Roof Inn.”

Barnes arrested for possession of cannabis over 20 grams with intent to sell. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on no bond.
