Palm Coast – The Palm Coast City Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on official City business. These meetings are open to the public and Palm Coast residents are strongly encouraged to attend. An increase in public engagement helps to build a stronger sense of community, increases valuable discussions, and decreases division.

The agenda for the City Council Business Meeting on Tuesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. will be as follows:

Presentations

The following proclamations and presentations will be presented:

  1. The City Administration will provide a presentation on the 2024 Legislative Session Overview and 2025 Legislative Priority Discussion.
  2. The Communications and Marketing Department will provide a presentation to present certificates to the graduating students of the Palm Coast’s Citizen’s Academy Class.
  3. The City Council will present a proclamation declaring May 2024, as National Preservation Month.
  4. The City Council will present a proclamation declaring May 2024 as National Tennis Month.
  5. The City Council will present a proclamation declaring May 1-7 2024 as Elks National Youth Week.
  6. The City Council will present a proclamation declaring May 5-11 2024 as Public Service Recognition Week.

Minutes

The following minutes of the City Council will be presented for approval:

  1. April 16, 2024, Business Meeting, April 23, 2024, Budget Workshop Meeting.

Ordinance Second Read

The following ordinances will be read:

  1. The Community Development Department will present an ordinance amending Section 2.05.02 Neighborhood Meeting Requirements, Subsection B Notification Required of the Unified Land Development Code of Ordinances. This change will provide additional notice to the neighboring residents for applicable applications such as comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings and tier 2 and 3 applications.

Resolutions

The following resolutions will be presented:

  1. The Stormwater and Engineering Department will present a resolution for approval of a Florida Department of Transportation State-Funded Grant Agreement for the design of Old Kings Road South Phase 2 Project. The proposed design roadway improvements include widening within the project limits from 2 to 4 lanes. Drainage and stormwater modifications are proposed within the project limits along with Pedestrian/bicycle paths.

Consent

The following resolutions will be presented together for consent:

  1. Resolution approving piggybacking the contract between QUADMED, Inc., and Osceola County, Florida.
  2. Resolution approving piggybacking the Brevard County, Florida contract with EFE, Inc., to utilize the terms, conditions, scope, and pricing of the agreement for agricultural equipment OEM Replacement Parts as needed.
  3. Resolution approving piggybacking Osceola County, Florida contract with EFE, Inc., to utilize the terms, conditions, scope, and pricing for John Deere OEM parts and services as needed.
  4. Resolution approving a piggyback contract with the Department of Management Services, an agency of the State of Florida, with Empire Office/Steelcase, Inc., for the purchase and installation of furniture and equipment citywide on an as needed basis.
  5. Resolution approving piggybacking Florida Sheriff’s Association contract with Bozard Ford to purchase one 2023 Ford F350.

Public Comments will be opened at the beginning and end of the business meeting in accordance with Section 286.0114 Florida Statutes and pursuant to the City Council’s Meeting Policies and Procedures. Each speaker will approach the podium, provide his/her name, and may speak for up to 3 minutes.

Meetings of the Palm Coast City Council typically occur three times per month. A 6 p.m. business meeting on the first Tuesday of the month, a 9 a.m. workshop meeting on the second Tuesday of the month, and a 9 a.m. business meeting on the third Tuesday of the month. All meetings occur in the Community Wing at City Hall at 160 Lake Avenue in Palm Coast.
