Hosting their second ribbon cutting in less than two years, opening their practice in Flagler County has proven to be a success story for women in business.

Welcoming guests to the new location of Premier Chiropractic and Wellness, Dr. Erika Equizi and business partner Marijo ‘MJ’ St. Laurent Dean, a licensed massage therapist, were beaming as they spoke with well-wishers joining them for the grand opening of the new office.

Nestled in the Flagler Plaza on State Road 100 next door to the Flagler Bike and Coffee Shop, Premier Chiropractic is not only welcoming a new location, but the addition of new team members, as well.

“We added Kara King Esthetics and we also added a nurse practitioner onto our practice now, so we’ll now be offering medical facial services, as well as IV hydration, Botox, medical weight loss and pain management for people. She can do trigger point injections and things to help people in severe pain to relax before they get adjustments to make it a much more effective adjustment for them,” said Equizi.

“It overall enhances everything we can offer the community by providing more services in one place so they have easier access, and helping people feel better in general to live a healthier, better life,” she said.

Specializing in prenatal, chiropractic and massage therapy, Premier Chiropractic has established a reputation in the community that has helped grow their business rapidly, requiring the addition of licensed massage therapist Andrea Baggott, LMT.

Also joining the team is chiropractor Dr. Autumn Neuhring.

Providing an array of services the practice has a focus on complete wellness for their patients according to licensed esthetician and microblading specialist Kara King. With nearly two decades in the field of dermatology, she’s worked hand-in-hand with Equizi and Dean over the past year.

“I think my clients are their patients and it’s been such a great partnership of us together that we complement each other so well,” said King.

“It’s an advanced level of care. They’re a boutique wellness practice so we can add different elements. Not just if you’re hurt, but if you’re looking for wellness in your every day. It’s the benefit of a facial, a massage, doing Botox fillers, a full encompassing of all things wellness.”

“Wellness is important. If you’re not taking care of yourself on an everyday basis, you aren’t going to have the longevity that you want,” she said. “You see the difference that taking care of yourself every single day can make, and that’s what we want to do.”

Supporting the event’s grand opening, Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce president Greg Blose said the growth is an indication of positive things happening in the community.

“We’re just out here congratulating her on a successful year of business and a new partnership with Kara King Esthetics. These two are really combining forces and taking it to another level, so we’re excited for them,” said Blose.

“It’s really important to support small businesses with events like this because look at the turnout today. There’s a whole network of people that rely on getting together, celebrating their achievements and good news. When you look at Flagler County, eight or nine out of ten jobs are because of small businesses, so it’s really important to celebrate milestones with businesses like this when they relocate and they grow.”
