The Flagler County Rotary Club recognized the new officers of FPCHS Interact Club for the 2023-2024 school year. They are President Mara Rush, Vice-president Angelina Manjarres, Secretary Benjamin Cazzaniga, and Historian Hannah Zublionis. They were installed by Rotary District 6970 Governor Jeffrey Michelman. The Interact teacher advisor is Pamela Vandercook.

To celebrate their successes during the 2022-23 school year and to prepare for the year ahead, the meeting was held on April 18 at FPC Bistro. Their lunch was provided by the FPCHS Culinary Arts Department.

Interact President Genesis Santiago Gil reviewed Interact’s service activities, which included reverse trick-or treating, working the Fantasy Lights show at Town Center in December, and raising money for Advent Health Foundation’s “Pink Army” breast cancer patient services. She was presented with the Rotary Zone 34 Interact Award for her leadership.

Rotary Club Past President Maralee Walsh-McDaniel presented a check for $1,000 from the Flagler County Rotary Club to the FPCHS Culinary Arts Department. John Subers, president of the Advent Health Foundation accepted a check from the Interact Club for the “Pink Army” breast cancer services.
