If you wish to remain healthy and active you won’t want to miss the Active After 50 Expo, a Lifestyle, Health & Active Aging event, to be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the PALM COAST COMMUNITY CENTER in Palm Coast, Florida.
Presented by Flagler Health+ in association with Active After 50 Online, the event is FREE to all who attend. Flagler County area Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, Seniors, Caregivers, family members, and professionals who serve the Baby Boomer and Senior community are encouraged to attend. More than 50 vendors will be on hand. Attendees will enjoy a diverse range of exhibitors, fitness and nutrition tips, live music, free health screenings, Pickleball, Dance, Yoga Demos, job and volunteer opportunities and a free raffle with lots of door prizes.
The generation gap is dwindling, boomers are rapidly becoming seniors and options for seniors have changed considerably. “Seniors are living longer and healthier lives. Housing choices have changed and 50+ consumers are more upwardly mobile and enjoying many more options” said Sara Malone, event director of the Active After 50 Expo.
At 1:00, four local, top pickleball players will compete in a 3.5 Mixed Doubles Exhibition Match. Team Hatch will play Team Shields for prize money and Selkirk Sport gear.
Also, for Pickleball players and those who want to learn how to play or current players who want to improve, Pam Hatch, a local USAPA Pickleball Ambassador and PPR Certified Pickleball Instructor, will be on hand to give free instruction. A full sized pickleball court will be set up, and if you don’t have one, paddles will be provided. Pam will give pickleball tips and an introduction to the game. “Discover Pickleball” will include a Pickleball Challenge. Hit a Pickleball target one time and receive a chance to win great prizes including Selkirk Sport pickleball gear.
Active After 50 Expo is proud to support the Feeding Northeast Florida Food Bank once again. Everyone who attends is asked to bring 1 or more canned food or non-perishable items to drop in the bin at the Expo entrance. All who donate will receive an extra ticket and qualify for great prizes drawn at the Expo’s conclusion, including the chance to win the Grand Prize, a Hotel stay and Show tickets in Las Vegas.
Appearing live at the Palm Coast Active After 50 Expo is Randy “Elvis” Fillippi. “Elvis” will perform his highly interactive show at 11:00 AM. Randy has performed at over 750 concerts across the country and is a past winner of the Ultimate Elvis Competition in Memphis, Tennessee.
