Palm Coast, FL— The City of Palm Coast has partnered with the Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) to create a Community-Driven Economic Development Vision Plan, named Prosperity 2035, and residents are invited to help shape the city’s future by participating in a series of engagement events.
The first community meeting will take place on Thursday, October 2, from 6–8 p.m. at the Palm Coast Community Center (305 Palm Coast Parkway NE).
This initiative will give residents, business owners, and community leaders the opportunity to help guide Palm Coast’s economic future while ensuring the city continues to thrive as a great place to live, work, and do business.
“Palm Coast is at an important point in its growth, and we want our community members to have a voice in how we move forward,” said Acting City Manager Lauren Johnston. “By working together, we can strengthen our economy while protecting the quality of life that makes Palm Coast so special.”
Through its work across the region, NEFRC brings expertise in economic development strategy, tourism, and grant funding. As the federally designated Economic Development District for the region, NEFRC has supported communities in securing grants, creating strategic plans, and developing long-term visions for economic prosperity.
For Palm Coast, NEFRC will lead a robust community engagement process that includes surveys, stakeholder outreach, and four public engagement meetings. The process will also integrate existing city plans, such as Prosperity 2021, the 2050 Comprehensive Plan, the Target Industry Feasibility Study, and the Palm Coast Community Survey Report to ensure a cohesive and forward-looking approach.
Residents are encouraged to attend the October 2 kickoff meeting to:
-
Learn more about the project and its goals.
-
Share their vision for Palm Coast’s economic future.
-
Participate in a visual preference survey to help guide priorities.
A pop-up event will be held at the Palm Coast Concert Series event at the Stage in Town Center on October 23, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. Additional engagement opportunities will take place on November 6, 2025, and January 15, 2026, at the Palm Coast Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m.
