FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation announced the impending retirement of current board chairman Tony Papandrea in their weekly newsletter on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

“This week the Foundation Board of Directors celebrated Tony Papandrea and his 16 years as Chairman of Board. He is passing the gavel in 2026.

It was a wonderful evening as we celebrated with Tony, the Board and the accomplishments our foundation has achieved over the years.

This success is evident by the continued growth of AdventHealth in our area.

Tony’s Board Chair replacement will be a feature of an upcoming Sunday update,” the announcement said.

Papandrea has been at the helm of the Foundation’s board through some of the hospital’s most important milestones. Helping to grow the 20/20 Society, Papandrea has seen the transition from Florida Hospital Flagler to AdventHealth Palm Coast in 2018, helped the Foundation raise more than $1 million toward the opening of the new AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway location in 2023, and most recently helped champion, alongside Dr. Padmaja Sai, the addition of the Freytag Cancer Center, with the Foundation contributing $4 million to the project.

He has been a staunch advocate for causes near and dear to the community including leading the Pink Army for breast cancer awareness each October as one half of a tag team beside the Foundation’s director John Subers. Papandrea is widely admired and respected not only for his dedication to the community, but for the compassion and reverence he held for his beloved late wife Dottie.
