DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Ahead of the 68th running of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, country star Miranda Lambert was presented with a one-of-a-kind custom guitar by Daytona International Speedway Track President Frank Kelleher on behalf of the France family

During the media session, Lambert reflected on her evolving career and recent collaboration with Ella Langley.

“It’s been so fun to work with Ella, and to become really close with her, and watch her journey, and watch her process,” said Lambert.  “I’ve had a 20 year, over 20-year career now, so I love that I can use my experience to sort of help guide whatever she needs. (Producing) is a new space I’m stepping into as a producer, and it’s really been such a cool, cool, like, experience for me. I’ve learned a ton, and I love that, you know, it also helps when the song works and it’s blowing up, so it, like, gives you, you know, validation and confidence to keep going, like, you’re doing the right thing,” she added.

Expressing excitement about performing before The Great American Race, Lambert said, “This place is massive. I think I came to Daytona a long time ago. I used to do a lot of races and performance stuff, but I haven’t been in a while, so I feel like I’m getting my NASCAR passions coming back quick. I can’t wait to hear the engines. This is gonna be so much fun.”

When asked about tailoring her performance for race fans, Lambert explained, “It is a pretty high-energy set. It’s short and sweet, so we kind of went with some high-energy set list.”

Kicking it off with “Fastest Girl in Town”, Lamber was ready to get the party started.

“It’s just incredible the amount of people here.  Everybody was tailgating, it kind of felt like a concert already, you know what I mean? So, it’s just, like, everybody’s in a good mood. It’s a celebration. It’s gonna be a fun day.”

The DAYTONA 500 is set to start at 1:30 PM on Sunday.
